Maya Vero

Maya Vero was born and raised in Amsterdam in 2005 as Maya Verberne. She studies Creative Artist at the Conservatory in Haarlem and cannot wait for a life on the road; the stages have been calling her since the age of four.In her experience, collaboration is key; without it, she feels the best possible outcome might never be discovered. With a clear vision, she allows for blanks and gaps to exist, to be filled in by people with a different skill set and/or expertise.Her current focus lies in pop/folk, with a strong cinematic feel. Acoustic
or produced, it's all about the storytelling.Lyricism is her strong suit. Nothing really stands a chance to come between her and her words, though often only expressed through the sound of music. It is her way of communicating her feelings, give them weight, give them meaning.She wears her heart on her sleeve and does not hold her tongue. In her words: "Vero means honesty and this, is what I thinks music should be; honest".
